Ahrefs Domain Rank

Old name for Ahrefs Domain Rating.

Ahrefs Domain Rating

This metric shows the strength of a website's overall backlink profile (in terms of strength and quality). The metric is measured on a logarithmic scale from 0 to 100 where a higher score represents a stronger backlink profile and likelihood to rank high in Google.

Ahrefs URL Rating

This metric shows the strength of a target URL's backlink profile (in terms of strength and quality). The metric is measured on a logarithmic scale from 0 to 100 where a higher score represents a stronger backlink profile and likelihood to rank high in Google.

CPC

Cost Per Click (Also known as PPC, Pay Per Click) is an advertising model used to direct traffic to websites, in which an advertiser pays a publisher when the ad is clicked.

Dofollow anchors

These links allow Google and all other search engines to follow their destination and reach your website. The anchor of these links is the visible text or element that the user clicks on.

Majestic Citation Flow

This metric is scored on a scale between 0 to 100 and refers to the total amount of links that points to the domain in question.

Majestic Trust Flow

This metric is scored on a scale between 0 to 100 and is based on the number of clicks from a seed set of trusted sites to a given URL or domain. In other words, it determines the score based on the traffic that flows through a link, the relevancy of the referring domain, and the links linking to the referring domain.

Majestic Top Million

The million domains that Majestic finds with the most referring subnets.

MOZ Domain Authority

This metric predicts how well an entire domain or subdomains will rank on search engine result pages (SERP). It is scored on a logarithmic scale from 1 to 100 where a higher score represents a stronger ability to rank.

MOZ Page Authority

This metric predicts how well a specific page will rank on search engine result pages (SERP). It is scored on a logarithmic scale from 1 to 100 where a higher score represents a stronger ability to rank.

Referring domains

A referring domain is where the backlinks are coming from. The strength of this metric is relative to the amount of backlinks. A domain with a low amount of referring domains, but a high amount of backlinks, will have a negative impact on SERP.

SERP

SERP stands for ”Search Engine Results Pages”, and is the results page that a search engine (Such as Google or Bing) shows it's users when they search for a specific keyword, term or phrase.

Search Volume

This metric refers to the number (or volume) of searches for a specific keyword within a given timeframe.

TLD

A TLD (or top-level domain) is one of the domains at the highest level in the hierarchical Domain Name System (DNS) of the internet, for example: www.domainstats.com.
